July 19, 2005
TFF's Erni Friholt is among the women nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. So are 999 others in this fascinating worldwide initiative to promote the idea of "1000 Women for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005"!
We are so proud of this initiative! Erni Friholt is the only one from Sweden - the other Nordic women being Annelise Ebbe (Denmark), Barbro Sundback (Finland) and Ingrid Eide (Norway).
Read about Erni and Ola Friholt's life together in peace and for peace. The TFF founders and the Friholts have been friends for more than 20 years and they are also advisors of the foundation. More than anyone else, these two people practise the Gandhian principle that "we must be the change we wish to see."
Having said that, there is the much larger framework.
Erni Friholt has been nominated together with 999 other strong women for the Nobel Peace Prize. It's a fantastic initiative and we at TFF want to spread the good news! Finally, the peaceful role of women in all cultures, their devotion to a culture of peace is to be highlighted and rewarded.
Support this initiative in any way you can. Talk about it, put pressure on the media to write about it. 1000 women representing all cultures, regions and religions - all for nonviolence and the end of patriarchal militarism, all serving in concrete ways a better world!
